Who our female Quran teachers are
Our female teaching faculty is made up of more than fifteen qualified Hafizat, Aalimat and Ijazah holding sisters. Each one has completed a formal Islamic education, holds a recognised Ijazah, Sanad-ul-Hifz or Shahadat-ul-Aalamiyah, and passes the same academic review as every other teacher at the academy before taking a student.
They teach the same full range of courses as the rest of the faculty, from Noorani Qaida and Nazra through Hifz, Tajweed and Qirat, up to Tarjuma, Tafseer and the rulings a Muslim woman needs day to day. Every class is one to one, so lessons stay private and paced entirely around the student.
Classes are taught in English, Urdu and Arabic. Our sisters teach girls, women, reverts and young children of both genders, and many mothers choose a female teacher for their small children because of the warmth and patience that teaching the very young asks for.

Nobody teaches at Tibyan Quran Academy on the strength of recitation alone. These are the qualifications behind every sister on our teaching faculty.
Ijazah Holding Sisters
Every female teacher holds a formal Ijazah, Sanad-ul-Hifz or Aalimah degree, verified before she is approved to teach.
Hafizat of the Quran
Many of our sisters have memorised the complete Quran and guide girls and women through their own Hifz journey.
Tajweed Specialists
Trained to correct Makharij and Sifaat precisely, including sisters with Ijazah in Hafs an Asim, Warsh and Qalun.
Aalimat and Fiqh Teachers
For Tafseer, Tarjuma and rulings on Taharah and Salah we assign Aalimat with a Shahadat-ul-Aalamiyah.

Are your female Quran teachers certified?
Yes. Every female teacher at Tibyan Quran Academy holds a formal Ijazah, Sanad-ul-Hifz or Shahadat-ul-Aalamiyah, and is assessed by our academic review board on both recitation and teaching ability before being assigned a student.
Will my daughter always be taught by the same sister?
Yes. Each student is assigned one dedicated teacher and stays with her throughout the course, so the teacher knows exactly where your daughter is and what she needs next.
Which courses do the female teachers teach?
All nine of our courses: Nazra Quran, Hifz e Quran, Tajweed e Quran, Qirat e Quran, Tarjuma e Quran, Tafseer e Quran, Diniyat, Ahkam e Sharee and Islamic Stories, including the rulings on Taharah and Salah that sisters most often ask about.
Can a female teacher teach my son?
Yes, and it is very common for younger boys. Many families start their four to eight year old sons with a female teacher and move them to a male teacher as they get older.
Is the class private?
Every class is one to one between the student and her teacher. There is no group and no other student in the session, and the camera is used only if the family is comfortable with it.
